The war on Gaza that started in December 2008 caused great devastation and human suffering. The continuing siege on the Gaza Strip has meant that its infrastructure has still not been repaired and the economy remains in tatters.
A remembrance rally is being organised on Tuesday 18 January 2011 at 7pm, Conway Hall, Holborn, London to call for and end of the siege to ease the human suffering. Speakers include:

- Baroness Jenny Tonge
- Sir Gerald Kaufman MP
- Rev Garth Hewitt, Amos Trust

The Human Rights Legal Aid Fund (HRLAF) are organsing a fundraising event for legal action on Palestine on Thursday 9 December 2010 (Reception from 7:30pm) at the Old Finsbury Town Hall, Rosebury Avenue, London, EC1R 4AP (Farringdon/ Clerkenwell Underground). The HRLAF are a global legal aid fund set up in support of Palestinian rights. All proceeds support an unprecedented legal aid fund for Palestine.

Interpal’s Chairman, Ibrahim Hewitt spoke at a charity dinner organised by the Leicester Islamic Medical Association (LIMA) on Saturday 27 November 2010 in aid of the Gaza Water Project. The aim is to raise enough funds to cover the cost of funding a water purification plant to supplement the one Interpal set up earlier this year. This event highlights the urgent need for such a project to provide safe, clean and fresh drinking water to the besieged people of the Gaza Strip where 90% of the water supply is unfit for human consumption due to high levels of contamination. |
