Education Aid

For many impoverished Palestinians, especially those from the refugee population, education is seen as a passport out of poverty and deprivation. Interpal has been very active in supporting Summer Education and Activity Programmes. Many children in Palestine have been forced to grow up before their time, and these programmes have sought to give Palestinian children their childhood back by giving them the opportunity to enjoy it in a safe environment. These programmes also aim to help with character and confidence-building, especially in the case of under-privileged children.

Interpal takes every opportunity to help empower female Palestinian students by supporting programmes especially run for girls during the summer months. This includes funding computer courses and leadership training courses for girls in Ramallah and Jerusalem.

In addition, Interpal has given substantial assistance to university students; ensured funding is provided to assist children with learning difficulties, and supported a number of schools, colleges and educational institutions by providing them with construction and repair costs.
