Interpal's Leicester office is organising a charity dinner on Saturday 30 April 2011 to raise funds for much needed medicines and medical supplies as part of Interpal's Medical Aid Project. The event will be held at "The Venue", 101 Gwendolen Road, Leicester LE5 5FL from 6pm onwards (doors will open at 5pm). Guest speakers will include Lauren Booth (TV presenter and activist), Ken O'Keefe (Director, Aloha Palestine) and Jody McIntyre (journalist and political activist). Tickets are available online now.

UPDATE 27 MARCH 2011: REGISTRATION FOR INTERPAL'S "20 MILE WALK" IS NOW CLOSED.
Interpal, together with a host of partner charities, is organising a 20 mile (32 km) walk for World Water Day 2011 on Saturday 19 (for women) and Saturday 26 (for men) March 2011. The walks, which cut right across the capital, start at 9.30am and go from Green Street Station in East London to Southall Broadway in West London.
Interpal is calling on all its supporters and their families and friends to join this walk to help raise awareness and urgently-needed funds for our Clean Water Project.
The walk marks a global campaign by the End Water Poverty alliance and lasts from 19-22 March 2011. It aims to raise awareness of the world’s current water and sanitation crisis, and ‑ critically ‑ demand strong government action to stop the needless deaths of 4,000 children every day due to a lack of clean water.
Regrettably, due to adverse weather conditions, Interpal has had to cancel the planned charity dinner in Bradford scheduled for 25 December 2010. Plans are underway to run the event early next year, possibly in February. However, the charity dinner in Birmingham planned for 29 January 2011 to raise much neeeded funds for Interpal Medical Aid projects in the Gaza Strip will proceed. There is plenty of time to show your support by booking your tickets today to avoid disappointment. Everyone is welcome, so do encourage your family and friends to support the event too!

Interpal is organising two fundraising events in the coming weeks. Both the Bradford and the Birmingham offices are organising a charity dinner on 25 December 2010 and 29 January 2011 respectively to raise much neeeded funds for Interpal projects in the Gaza Strip. All proceeds from the events will go towards providing Medical Aid in the Gaza Strip. Over the past 12 months or so Interpal has provided medical equipment delivered via mercy convoys.
