Break The Cycle

Drop Facts

For too long now the whole of the Gaza Strip has been under siege. Adding to this frequent missile strikes and groundincursions have damaged and destroyed pipelines and infrastructure allowing sewage water to contaminate drinking water supplies, causing water borne diseases which is slowly, but surely poisoning the population.

Why is Water so important?

Water is the most essential element, next to air, to our survival. Water makes up over two thirds of the weight of the human body, and without it, we would die in a few days.

What is the issue?

The lack of basic sanitation and unsafe water has led to a crisis of magnitude proportions; it is a global killer causing 80% of diseases and more deaths every year than all forms of violence, including war. Unsafe water has the biggest impact on children whose bodies are not strong enough to fight diseases.

What is Interpal doing to help?
