The Hajj season is upon us once again giving us the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) by sacrificing what is most dear to us. We should seek to emulate his sacrifice by spending freely on helping the poor and needy. Food shortages and contaminated water (92% of the water in Gaza is unfit for human consumption) have led to an increase in childhood anaemia and malnutrition. Your support for Interpal’s ‘Eidul-Adha Campaign helps to provide ‘Eid gifts and food parcels whilst providing essential financial assistance to orphans, needy children, widows and poor families. In order to help donors share the joy of the occasion with those less fortunate, Interpal will be organsing 'Eid celebrations for terminally ill children, the disabled and the elderly in addition to orphans, needy children and widows. 'Eid gifts, and in some cases financial assistance, will be distributed to them during these gatherings. Don't delay, make your donations and Qurbani orders today! Please note that we accept late Qurbani orders. As long as you make your intention (niyyah) during the days of 'Eid we are happy to take your pledge and ensure that your Qurbani is done. £70 will provide a standard Qurbani according to Shari’ah (the price includes £10 towards admin costs). This means that donors will be performing a strongly recommended religious act while providing needy Palestinians with the opportunity to eat meat which they can rarely afford. £25 will provide a food parcel including 2kg of meat. This food is essential as majority of Palestinians are dependent on food aid which is not always reliable and also have high anaemia rates. In addition to this food insecurity levels remain high at approximately 38% in Palestine, around 56% in Gaza and amongst refugees it is nearly 44%.This is part of Interpal's conscious effort to provide multi-dimensional aid by supporting local producers, farmers and businesses in sourcing items for the food parcels. As well as the 2kg of meat, the parcels are made up of staple foods including: • Rice
